Welcome to BHS Goes Green!

In the Fall of 2008, Brookline High School staff and students, and members of the community group Climate Change Action Brookline, convened for their innaugural meeting to create an exemplary 'green' high school.

During our first year, the 2008-2009 school year, students stepped up recycling, we created an Environmental Action seminar and BHS stakeholders--teachers, administrators, students, town officials and community members--held the first ever "Green Day Away."  Since then we have focused on translating the work of that day into a five year vision with one year action plans for each of the five committees.  This year we will hold our first Day of Climate Action, which includes an amazing collection of speakers and student action.
